ISOMETRIC
Isometric is a square head frame design employed by Yonex, that involves equalizing the length of the main and cross strings in the string bed. This head shape promotes increased stability and creates a bigger sweet spot to enhance control.
OPS (OVAL PRESSED SHAFT)
First introduced in 1969 with the T-7000, Yonex’s first aluminum tennis racquet, the Oval Pressed Shaft (OPS) is still incorporated into Yonex’s most popular racquet series today.
The Oval Pressed Shaft is designed to give players more spin, control and feel. The shaft flexes at impact, increasing dwell time and minimizing vibrations.
VDM (VIBRATION DAMPENING MESH)
A stretchy mesh material that is wrapped around the graphite within the frame’s grip to filter unwanted vibrations.
2G-NAMD FLEX FORCE
Aggressive, attacking spin is achieved through a carbon nanotube (CNT) structure that binds the graphite fibres together, which reduces energy loss. Due to its resilient properties, the material flexes and provides quick snapback.
GRAPHITE COMPOSITION
Modern day racquets and paddles are made from a high modulus graphite, which is used to keep the frame lightweight and stiff for increased head stability and performance. These graphites and/or carbon fibres allow for more aerodynamic shapes to be made which increases the speed in which the racquet/paddle can travel through the air.
